District XI of Pennsylvania is made up of three regions, all in the east-central part of the Keystone State. The Lehigh Valley Area is flavored by the cities of Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Nazareth, and Northampton as well as many smaller towns. Some say it is the essential heart of Pennsylvania High School wrestling represented by AAA powerhouses Easton, Northampton, Liberty, Nazareth, and Parkland, as well as Freedom, Bangor, Southern Lehigh, Allen, Emmaus, and Allentown Central Catholic. Also, AA powerhouses at Wilson, Northern Lehigh, Bethlehem Catholic, Pen Argyl, Notre Dame, Salisbury, Catasaqua and Saucon Valley highlight the overall quality of wrestling in the District XI area. The Upper-Schuylkill Valley Area is home to teams like Pottsville, Tamaqua, Pine Grove, Tri-Valley, Panther Valley, North Schuylkill and Schuylkill Haven. The Lower Pocono Mtn. Area is home to teams such as Jim Thorpe, Blue Mountain, Pocono Mountain East and West, Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg North and South, Lehighton, Palmerton, Pius X, and Pleasant Valley High Schools.
