Starting the 2009-10 Season

Well, another season hurried along to us, or maybe it took it's sweet time, depending on what else you have going
on. There were three significant events in my personal life that had my full attention this off-season, but only
the last one affects the late start for the webpage. The first event goes way back to April when I was surprised
and delighted to be inducted into the District XI Wrestling Hall of Fame for my contributions to District XI Wrestling.
Again, I thank the committee for the consideration. The 2nd event has nothing to do with Wrestling as such, but
our oldest daughter and her husband presented us with a beautiful Granddaughter in August. We are just thrilled!
The last, and not so happy event was the November diagnosis that I have Lymphoma Cancer on my upper spinal cord.
I started Chemo on Black Friday, and had my 2nd one just yesterday. The Doctors have given me a very good prognosis,
and we are upbeat and positive. The reason I am telling you all this, is not for sympathy, it is in hope that you
understand things might be slower this year, My "Live" broadcasts, like tonight's Easton/Parkland match
will actually be live via TV. For non-broadcast matches I have arranged for some friends to email live results
to me, but I could sure use lot's of others. If you have a web phone and want to help, email results to rans@enter.net.
If you want it to be live, make sure I know ahead of time so I can prepare a page and look for your email.
Good luck to the wrestlers, their coaches, the parents and the fans for a fun
and healthy 2009-10 season.
